NDDC Promotes Peace for Development of Niger Delta region The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has stressed the need to promote peace in the Niger Delta to facilitate the development process in the region. The NDDC Executive Director Finance and Administration, Dr Chris Amadi, stated this during a stakeholders’ engagement forum organized by the Commission in Port Harcourt. He described peace as a veritable instrument for nation building, stating that the Commission was making conscious efforts to ensure lasting peace. Dr. Amadi, who was represented by the Director of Finance, Dr Linus Ogbalubi, said that the theme of the stakeholder’s forum: “Peace as a Panacea for Sustainable Development in the Niger Delta Region” was apt and it aligned with the determination of the new management of the NDDC to reposition the Commission to be able to achieve its mandate.

INCRAB views the attacks against the management of NDDC as calculated attempt

INCRAB COMMENDS THE GIANT STRIDES OF NDDC The Inter-ethnic Network for Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Buhari, INCRAB, a citizens advocacy group and society watchdog, after a careful study of the myriads of petition and allegations raised against the Prof. Braimbraifa-led management team of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, adds its voice in solidarity with other well-meaning and discerning individuals in the Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole to condemn in its entirety, the base, mischievous and politically engineered attacks on the Executive Management team of the NDDC.

THE EXTERBLISHMENT OF NDDC IS FOR NIGER DELTA DEVELOPMENT

NDDC IS COMMITTED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NIGER DELTA The management of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has noticed a flurry of attacks in the media against the Commission in the past three weeks.  The attacks bear the hallmark of a carefully choreographed campaign to bring down the executive management of the commission, and impair its ability to deliver on its mandate as an interventionist agency.

Bayelsans are amongst the long list of Contractors owed backlog of obligations

ARISE BAYELSANS, LET OUR ENEMIES BE SCATTERED. This is a clarion call on Ijaw people, especially, all Bayelsans to speak in one voice irrespective of political affiliation. We have a reputation for pulling down our own just like a mother hen that eats her own eggs. That is not something good about a people.  Since NDDC was created, this is the second time a Bayelsan would be occupying the exalted position of Managing Director, even though on Acting capacity. Sadly and typical of us, the attempt to pull down the Prof. Nelson Brambaifa led board is coming from no other quarters than from fellow Bayelsans. May I ask, are we cursed to fight ourselves all the time even when other ethnic groups stand to benefit from such fights?
