*A TRUE POLITICIAN LEADS FROM HOME*
The statement above is profound and it is in consonants with this age long saying "Charity begins at home". The strength and the result of every political play is imbedded in the demographic expanse of the polity. One who is truly a political asset must be able to bring people into his political fold, the party; and he starts from the home.
DLB is not a political liability; no one in APC is disgruntled because of him. People have not left the party because of him; but many have come in from all tribes and tongues within the state because of him. Many who thought of leaving have stayed back because of him. Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs has been a huge blessing to APC. When other leaders play by sentiments and segregation; when they form small cartels and revolve around their circle of interest when they feel like extending a little favor, DLB extends hands of friendship and limitless goodwill, and reaches out to all and sundry. When others are building camps in APC, DLB is saying "embrace everyone with love, condemn that which is wrong but do not abuse your elders, maintain the sanctity of the supremacy in leadership; as much as you can, avoid uncouthness, those who will remain loyal to the party will remain and it will not be because you insulted them".
Now you can see the reason why I call him the idea; the factor of Unity; the center of gravity, the detribalised leader and the driver of the process.
Choice in politics is not open-ended. For various factors, leaders determine the scope; and this has given rise to the concepts of Federal Character in governance, and zoning in politics. Today, it has also informed the decision of the party leadership in Rivers State to zone Governorship to the Riverine. If leaders could find wisdom in such arrangement then no one can begrudge the concerned Kalabari youths over their display of bravery in expressing their wish and expectations. They should be applauded.
A famous man, an international figure, a revered personality with sufficient global exposure who is widely accepted by his people is indeed a great man and a great asset to any political association. His people have said "go! And he has answered "Yes, I will go! His vision is to return the glory of Rivers State.

DLB will do it.
Dumo Lulu-Briggs is a Patriotic Rivers Man that is deeply loved by his people. That's all.
