The inauguration of the Executive Chairmen for the 23 Council areas in Rivers State today June 17, 2021 has been regarded as a mere jamboree. The AAC Chairmanship candidate in the April 17, 2021 Council polls have called to question the outcome of the elections and how the elections were conducted without sensitive electoral materials to sight.

Hon. Ejekwu  Darlington Chibuso, the Chairmanship Candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) Obio/Akpor calls on the good people of Obio/Akpor and the General public to regard the swelling in of , the Executive Council members of Obio/Akpor Local Government that took place today June 17, 2021 as a mere sham because, according to him, there was no Election in Obio/Akpor.

He called on the RSIEC and the Chairman of the electoral body Rt. Hon. Justice George Omereji to do the needful, cancel the said sham called elections and reschedule the elections.

He also claimed that his party agents and  councillorship candidates arrest to the fact that there was not a material to exercise their franchise. 

He claimed to be more popular in the area (Obio/Akpor) that any other candidates that partook in the sham called elections and that the general public should know that what ever transpired today is a mere jamboree.
